Year Introduced: 1954

Total Pieces: 12

Look for holes in roof to see if had a chimney. May have holes over the door for the rifle. If it has a rifle, it may have a paper animal skin with Davy Crockett written on it that went on the door. The Davy Crockett Log Cabin came in a poly bag (see variation 4).

Some price guides list a “reddish-brown” or a “chocolate brown”. The reddish-brown version shows some streaks of red in an otherwise brown log cabin. Relatedly, there are some log cabins with black streaks throughout. It is unclear if these are true color variations, or just minor color abnormalities. Currently, the latter theory presides. Likewise, the “chocolate brown” listing is believed to be an unintended, and irregularly manufactured minor variation of the standard “brown.” None of these appear to be more rare than another.
